JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City man was arrested after deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve him a warrant.
Matthew C. Combs, 41, was arrested after deputies from the WCSO spotted his vehicle in the 100 block of Limestone Ruritan Road while attempting to serve him a warrant for violating probation.
Combs reportedly “jerked away” from the deputies and began inhaling from a can of air duster, according to the WCSO.
Combs then prevented deputies from securing the can and continued to resist arrest. Deputies ultimately had to deploy a taser to take Combs into custody, the WCSO said. Multiple cans of air duster were reportedly observed in the front passenger seat of Combs’s vehicle.
Combs was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and is being held without bond for violating probation. His bond was set to $12,500 for the new charges. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 26.
