JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson City Parks and Recreation Department is actively seeking input from local residents regarding proposed enhancements for the Arrowood-Mashburn Baseball Field.

On Saturday, the department hosted a public forum to not only gather community insights but also to inform residents about a potential grant from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. This grant, if secured, would be allocated to replacing the existing lighting system at Arrowood-Mashburn with modern LED lights.

Maggie Darden, the planning and project manager, emphasized the field’s significance, noting its long-standing association with the Johnson City National Major Little League, a collaboration that has lasted over 75 years.
