DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — In recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, a dedicated group in Decatur is ensuring that those without homes are informed about available resources. For the third consecutive year, diverse groups and individuals convened at the Decatur Civic Center for the “Walk the Walk” event.

This three-mile trek highlighted key resources accessible to the city’s homeless population. Supporters who were unable to participate in the walk had the opportunity to join the event via a trolley ride.
