July 4th Weather Forecast: Clear Skies and Perfect Conditions for Independence Day Celebrations

Widespread showers and storms expected mid-afternoon.

ORLANDO, Fla.Weekend Weather Outlook

Abundant moisture will persist in the atmosphere on Saturday, leading to a significant increase in storm activity throughout the region. The morning hours should remain dry, with a combination of sun and clouds helping temperatures rise to the lower 90s by early afternoon. The heat index could reach anywhere from 100 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Model guidance for Saturday afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to begin developing around 1 p.m., spreading from the southwest to the northeast across Central Florida as the afternoon progresses. It would be wise to start barbecues by noon to make the most of dry conditions before the storms arrive. Despite their strength, these storms are expected to diminish swiftly as evening approaches.

Storm chances decrease just in time for fireworks displays.

By 8 p.m., conditions should largely dry out, albeit with a lingering, intense humidity. This will set the stage for a dry but moisture-laden environment for fireworks scheduled at 9 p.m.

Model guidance for Sunday afternoon.

Looking Ahead to Sunday

While not as prevalent as Saturday, moisture will still stick around for our Sunday Funday. This will allow for another day of decent storm coverage in the afternoon along our sea breeze, but slightly less coverage than Saturday. Highs will hover in the low 90s with heat indices once again topping 100ºF.
