A tragic hit-and-run incident in Urbana has concluded with a 30-year prison sentence for Julio Cucul-Bol, aged 29, who admitted to the crime as part of a plea agreement with the Champaign County State’s Attorney. The devastating crash claimed the lives of two young women and left three others injured.

The victims were 21-year-old Chloe Polzin and 20-year-old Katie Abraham. Katie, a sophomore at Ohio University, was visiting friends at the University of Illinois at the time. Her untimely death left her family grappling with a future filled with unfulfilled dreams and aspirations. “We won’t get to experience how she was going to evolve,” said her father, Joe Abraham, expressing the deep void her absence has left. “I’ll never be able to walk her down the aisle. She will never have children. I’ll never get to see her children. She’ll never be an aunt.”
