AUGUSTA, Ga. – On Tuesday, community leader Karen Gordon made headlines by declaring her candidacy for the Georgia House of Representatives District 130. This announcement comes in the wake of a special election being scheduled to fill the vacancy left by Lynn Heffner, formerly known as Gladney, who resigned on January 5, 2026, amidst concerns about rebuilding uncertainty.
