Kimberly Wright sentenced to life in Crocker Case

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. () — The woman accused of conspiring to murder two teenagers in 2018 has plead guilty and been sentenced to life.

Kimberly Wright, who was facing several charges for the murder of Elwyn Crocker Jr. and Mary Crocker, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole by Judge Matthew Hube, the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Wright is one of the five defendants in the Crocker Case. Three other defendants, Candice Crocker, Mark Wright and Roy Prater have already entered guilty pleas. Mark Wright and Roy Prater are to be sentenced at a later date.

Kimberly Wright pled guilty to the following charges:

  • Count 1: Malice murder
  • Count 2: Malice murder
  • Count 3: Felony murder (merged with count 1)
  • Count 4: Felony murder (merged with count 2)
  • Count 5: Aggravated sexual battery
  • Count 6-9 Cruelty to children in the first degree
  • Count 10: Concealing death of another
  • Count 11: Concealing death of another
  • Count 12: False Imprisonment
  • Count 13: False Imprisonment

According to the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, the case against Elwyn Crocker Sr. is still moving through the judicial system and the State will not extend a plea offer. The death penalty is “still on the table.”
