KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Aquatic Center announced it is extending its annual “Drool Party” dog swim event to a five-day affair so dogs and fur parents have more opportunities to splash.
The Drool Party will span from Sept. 3 to Sept. 7 this year. Dates and sessions will be broken up into big dogs only, small dogs only, and one session for all dogs.
The schedule for the 2025 Drool Party is as follows, according to Kingsport’s website:
- Sept. 3; 5-7 p.m.: Big dogs only, over 25 lbs
- Sept. 4; 5-7 p.m.: Small dogs only, 25 lbs or less
- Sept. 5; 5-7 p.m.: All dogs
- Sept. 6
- 10 a.m.-noon: All dogs
- 2-4 p.m.: Small dogs only, 25 lbs or less
- Sept. 7
- 10 a.m.-noon: Small dogs only, 25 lbs or less
- 2-4 p.m.: Big dogs only, over 25 lbs
Registration is required to attend and bring dogs to the Drool Party. All dogs must be up to date on vaccines, and records are required to register. There is a limit of two dogs per person, and the dogs’ handlers must be over age 18. All dogs must have a leash with them, in case it’s needed.
Admission is $5 per dog ahead of the event and $7 on the day of the event. Pet owners get in for free, according to the city.
Registration must be done on Kingsport’s CivicRec portal, which can be accessed on the aquatic center’s website at swimkingsport.com.
