Lake Shelbyville features closed due to vandalism, construction

SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Lake Shelbyville has temporarily shut down two boat ramps and a popular fishing area, citing reasons of construction as well as vandalism.

In a Facebook update, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that the Opossum Creek Boat Ramp and the fishing platform beneath their office are currently closed due to vandalism. Details regarding the specific nature of the vandalism or the duration of these closures remain undisclosed.
