AUGUSTA, Ga. ()- As the countdown to Christmas Eve continues, the Salvation Army of Augusta is urging local residents to bridge the remaining $50,000 needed for the 2025 Red Kettle Campaign.

With only two days left, the organization is appealing for community support to reach their goal.

This campaign stands as the Salvation Army’s most significant fundraiser of the year.

The money collected directly funds crucial services at the Center of Hope, ensuring ongoing support for those in need.

Your contributions play a vital role in providing meals, toiletries, and a variety of other essentials.

The Salvation Army of Augusta’s Major says he believes in God and the community if the funds were to fall short of $250,000.

“I believe God is faithful and I know this community is amazingly generous. So first, I don’t believe we’re going to fall short. But if we did, God will still provide what is needed in order to help those in need,” said Major Jonathan Raymer.

He also explained what they will do if they exceed their amount.

“If we exceed, then surely we would be able to invest that even more into those who are in need beyond what we do. And we want to continually put that money back into helping those who are in need, because we always want to honor the donor’s intent as they give to us. We want to make sure we we actually live up to that promise of trying to do the most good with that funding.”

You can still give in person at the Red Kettles located at participating stores throughout the Augusta area.

Christmas Eve is the last day of the campaign with times being from 9am to 3pm.
