Legal Battle Unfolds: Lawsuit Aims to Halt Trump’s Controversial UFC Event at the White House

(The Hill) – A legal challenge was initiated on Saturday aiming to halt the upcoming UFC fight, slated for the White House on June 14, coinciding with President Trump’s birthday.

The lawyers representing the plaintiffs describe the planned event as “profoundly corrupt,” alleging that Trump stands to gain financially. They reference reports indicating that the president invested up to $50,000 in TKO, UFC’s parent company, earlier this year.

The lawsuit contends that the event does not serve to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American Independence and, importantly, is not being “planned, organized, and executed” by federal authorities.
