HINESVILLE, Ga. () — Liberty County Football is off to a 5-1 start in the 2025 football season, its best start since the 2019 season.
The Panthers opened the season with a 21-20 win over their rival Bradwell Institute to secure the Commissioner’s Cup.
Several games later, they beat a good Long County team 40-34 in an overtime battle.
Last Friday, the Panthers only allowed a touchdown to a dynamic Southeast Bulloch team, and won that game,10-7.
Head coach Tony Glazer said the good start has come down to winning close games.
“In the fourth quarter I feel like our guys have a lot more gas,” he said. “We’re able to wear our opponents down in the fourth quarter.”
“I feel like this team this year has heart,” said senior running back Elijah Brown. “When we play with our heart we’re a really hard team to beat.”
Liberty County’s next game will be at home against Johnson on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
