LAKE MARY, Fla. – When we think about road construction, most of us picture the big projects on major highways and interstates. But sometimes, the improvements that make the biggest difference happen right in our own neighborhoods.

For years, drivers in the city of Lake Mary have been hoping for some relief at the intersection of Lake Mary Boulevard and Country Club Road. The wish was simple: another lane to help ease congestion and improve the flow of traffic.

That wish has finally been answered. After several months of construction, a new turning lane has been completed along Lake Mary Boulevard and many drivers are already noticing the benefits. But with improvements come adjustments. Anytime there’s a new merge point, drivers need to pay extra attention and use caution. It may take a little while for traffic to smooth out as everyone gets used to the change.
