SANFORD, Fla. – Today, I’m heading out to Fort Mellon Park in Sanford for a community event you won’t want to miss, Sweet Tea with the Chief.

This free gathering, hosted by the Sanford Police Department, is all about bringing residents and officers together over a refreshing glass of sweet tea.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., you’ll have the chance to meet Chief of Police, ask questions, voice concerns and learn more about what’s happening in your neighborhood. Whether you have specific issues you want addressed or just want to get to know the people who keep Sanford safe, this is the perfect opportunity.

Sweet Tea with the Chief in Sanford event (Sanford Police Department)

I’ll be there live streaming the event, giving you a front-row seat to the conversations, introductions and community connections being made.

If you can’t make it to 600 E 1st St., tune in to our stream at 10 a.m. and be part of the interaction from wherever you are.

Grab a drink, join the conversation and let’s build a stronger Sanford, one cup of sweet tea at a time.
