ORLANDO, Fla. – A flash flood warning is in effect for Brevard county until midnight.

Between 2 and 5″ of rain have already fallen across portions of Brevard county.

An additional 1-3″ of rain is possible through the evening.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding are Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Sharps and Jetty Park.


A flash flood warning means flooding is ongoing or is expected to begin shortly.

Pay close attention to rising water. Never drive through flooded roadways.

Tonight and Tomorrow

Widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms will focus themselves along and east of I-4 overnight and during Friday morning.

Salt water flooding is also possible.

Thursday night into Friday morning has been designated a Weather Alert Day for the potential for Flooding.
