Valdosta man wanted for armed robbery to local business

VALDOSTA, Ga. () — A Valdosta man is wanted by local police after performing an armed robbery at a local business.

Franklin Kier, 35, is wanted for performing an armed robbery at Khushi Food Mart on the 1500 block of Northside Drive. According to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD), Kier had entered the store, brandished a handgun, demanded money and then fled the business.

The firearm was discharged during the robbery, but no injuries were reported.

VPD issued arrest warrants for Kier with charges for armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Kier should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact 911.

Additionally, VPD arrested and charged an associate of Kier, Kianna Grisby, 35, after she was uncooperative with the investigation and provided conflicting information to officers and detectives. Grisby was charged with obstruction.
