AUGUSTA, G.A. ()- Today the Community Foundation for the CSRA celebrated recipients of the 2025 Community Grants Awards. Several organizations throughout the CSRA received more than half a million dollars towards their nonprofit.

Augusta Rescue Mission is one of the nonprofits that received a grant from the Community Foundation Friday morning.

48 nonprofit organizations serving our two-state, received a total of $660,000 dollars.

“We’re in a much better position right now with the grant from the Community Foundation because we were working purely off donations. So, getting this grant is a big help for us,” Founder of The Missing Link Foundation Tim Nichols said.

Those grant awards support the arts, cultural, and historical educational opportunities for children who may not have easy access to different programs.

“Our organization is a musical theater studio, and we work with children ages five, all the way to 18. We develop their character and their confidence using musical theater as a resource,” Creative Director at Inspire Studios Center for Performing Arts Erika Bible said.

Some of the nonprofits highlighted are Inspire Studios, MACH Academy, Mental Health America in Aiken, The Missing Link Foundation and the Augusta Rescue Mission.

“So, with this grant money we are adding a gym– or a fitness area– to our warehouse, and we’re also emphasizing nutrition and wellness in their curriculum, their coursework and their online courses,” Augusta Rescue Mission Executive Director Christopher Jones said.

Award recipients say, they’ll be able to expand their resources thanks to grants like this.

“This year we’ve caught three moms that were in trouble and have kind of awarded that trouble off so that family can stay together and be happy and be safe.,” Executive Director, Mental Health America of Aiken County Bonnie Fulghum said.
