POOLER, Ga. () — A family-owned produce market in Pooler is opening its doors to the public despite surviving a fire on Friday afternoon.

According to Pooler Fire Rescue, units responded at approximately 1:28 p.m. to a fire at Polk’s Plus & Polk’s On The Go’s business. The incident resulted in no injuries, but it destroyed the business’s walk-in cooler and all its contents.

The fire did not spread to the main building, which is allowing the family-owned business to operate as normal on Saturday.

“It could have been much worse,” said Polk’s on a social media post. “We will get through this. God is Good!”
