URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Pastor Davita Bernard and Dominique Clemons of the Kingdom Connection Outreach Center joined WCIA’s Taylor Mitchell to talk about an upcoming event.
The center is gearing up for their community back to school fair. The fair will include a number of vendors and will be free for all attendees. Event goers will be able to get haircuts, have their hair braided and enjoy food, all free of charge.
Kids will be able to play on bounce houses, get shaved ice from Kona Ice and take part in a basketball tournament. Additionally, the outreach center has partnered with Chic-fil-A and they will be giving out gift certificates. The center is also giving out essentials kits that include toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant and body washes.
Kingdom Connection is asking for donations to continue to make this all possible. The event will take place at 1508 E Colorado Avenue in Urbana on Aug. 31.
