SAVANNAH, Ga. – On Thursday, the Chris Argentinis Annual Valor Award Ceremony, hosted by the 200 Club, honored local heroes in a touching tribute.
Gathered in the company of family, friends, and colleagues, the ceremony paid homage to the valor of our local police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel. These awards celebrated individuals who, despite the risks to their own safety, demonstrated remarkable courage and commitment while serving the community.
Mark Dana, President and CEO of the 200 Club, emphasized the selfless nature of these professions. “They’re not doing it for the pay,” Dana remarked. “Everyone needs to understand that this is not a career where you’re going to make a lot of money, yet they’re risking their lives to help. When someone is in trouble, whether they like law enforcement or not, they will call for help.”
This year marks the 17th anniversary of the 200 Club’s dedication to celebrating such bravery, and the organization expressed its hope to continue this tradition for many more years. The event served as a poignant reminder of the indispensable role these individuals play in safeguarding our community.
The 2025 marks the 17th year the 200 Club has hosted the event. They told they hope to continue the tradition for many years to come.
