Several players with local ties invited to NFL rookie mini camps, sign as free agents

GREEN BAY, Wis. () — Several football players with local ties from around the area have been signed by NFL teams as free agents or been invited to rookie mini camps.

Georgia Southern had four total players signed or received invites to NFL mini camps after the 2025 NFL Draft.

Running back Jalen White signed as a free agent to the Green Bay Packers.

White played five total years for the Eagles. In his last three seasons, he averaged over 700 yards rushed and 32 total touchdowns.

Offensive lineman Dom Boyd also signed as a free agent to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Both wide receiver Derwin Burgess Jr. and tight end Tyler Fromm were invited to NFL mini camps. Burgess Jr. to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ mini camp, and Fromm to the New York Giants’ mini camp.

Savannah native and East Carolina wide receiver Winston Wright Jr. also received an invite to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rookie mini camp.
