But as we head toward the weekend, changes are on the way.
A weakening tropical wave near the Turks and Caicos is expected to bring a modest increase in moisture, which will gradually boost rain chances across the state.
At the same time, the heat and humidity won’t be letting up anytime soon.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Rain chances remain moderate (40–60%), focused mainly inland during the afternoon and early evening. Expect the usual summer thunderstorm threats, including frequent lightning, gusty winds and heavy rain. High temperatures will feel like 100–105 with the humidity.
Thursday- Weekend
With the approach of the weak wave, moisture levels look to increase, with rain coverage up to 50–70%. Before the rain starts up, the humidity will keep highs feeling like 100-105.
