ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain chances in Central Florida stay low overall for another day before more unsettled weather returns later this week.

Expect scattered showers south of Orlando by Tuesday afternoon. A few storms might bring gusty winds up to 45 mph, lightning and brief downpours.

Highs will warm into the mid- to upper 80s, with breezy onshore winds.

Along the breeze, the risk of rip currents remains high along all area beaches. Conditions remain extremely hazardous for swimming, so entering the water is strongly discouraged.

From Wednesday through the rest of the week, moisture will begin to increase from the south. We could see a sightly higher chance of rain and isolated storms, with coverage between 30-40%.

While fall officially begins at 2:19 p.m. Monday, Central Florida will continue in a summer pattern.

Rain chances persist into the weekend and early next week, with onshore breezes and near-normal temperatures. Expect a mix of sun, clouds and scattered storms, mainly in the afternoons. Highs will hover in the upper 80s to near 90.
