Glynn County arrests 6 in drug investigation, 2 still wanted on warrants

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — In a significant crackdown on drug distribution, the Glynn County Police Department apprehended six individuals on Thursday. This operation is part of an ongoing investigation targeting illegal narcotics in the area.

During the raid, authorities confiscated a substantial amount of illegal substances, including 662.98 grams of marijuana, 156.45 grams of cocaine, 11.65 grams of crack cocaine, and 30 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, they seized 20 Hydrocodone pills and a sum of $2,385.52 in cash, which is believed to be linked to the drug trade.

The police also recovered several firearms, which included a Winchester rifle model 94 30-30 caliber, a Revelation 12-gauge shotgun, and a Springfield rifle model 15. These weapons were found alongside other items commonly associated with drug distribution activities.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified, with Diane Stevens among them. She faces charges for possession of a Schedule II substance with intent to distribute (Cocaine) and possession of a Schedule II substance (Hydrocodone).

• Diane Stevens: possession of schedule II substance with intent to distribute (Cocaine) and possession of schedule II substance (Hydrocodone)

• Jessica Cochran: two counts of forgery in the fourth degree (outstanding warrants)

• Robert Walker: possession of schedule II substance (Cocaine)

• Joshua Hamilton: giving false name and date of birth to a law enforcement officer

• Cedric Moody: violation of probation (outstanding warrant)

• Ervin Shumen: possession of drug-related objects; giving false name and date of birth to a law enforcement officer

The arrests were made as part of simultaneous search warrants conducted on Stonewall Street. The warrants were obtained following the investigation by the Glynn County Police Department and the Uniformed Patrol Division.

Two individuals are currently wanted on active arrest warrants:

• Damien Owens: trafficking in cocaine; trafficking in methamphetamine; possession of schedule II substance with intent to distribute (Oxycodone), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects

• Thaddeus Marion: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
