PORT ROYAL, S.C. () — The Port Royal Police Department arrested a man in connection to three different cases Sunday.

The 23-year-old Beaufort man was identified by a neighbor’s security camera after he allegedly stole a gun from an unlocked vehicle around 7 p.m. May 24 in the Broad River Village area.

That night, a resident found footage on their doorbell camera of the suspect engaging in lewd behavior outside of their home, a police spokesperson said. Officers were able to identify the man from the footage again.

The following day, officers were dispatched to Azalea Square for a reported package theft. The suspect was located nearby and had the stolen items, police said.

He was taken into custody, and a warrant was served for indecent exposure. Additional charges for larceny are pending, the spokesperson said.

Police have not recovered the gun yet.
