GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Julio Enrique Cambriere-Pabon, 48, was arrested early yesterday morning and charged with battery on a Meridian employee.
Cambriere-Pabon was arrested on February 12 and charged with prowling after he was allegedly discovered inside an occupied home in Archer. He was moved to Meridian Behavioral Healthcare under a Baker Act order after reportedly pulling out his own teeth and using them to cut himself.

An Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Meridian after Cambriere-Pabon allegedly pushed a behavioral tech at Meridian; the deputy was told that Cambriere-Pabon had made a makeshift knife out of broken furniture and had tried to open secured doors with the tool. The deputy reported that he watched Cambriere-Pabon “destroy” a common area of the facility, bang on windows, and try to open doors. When deputies ordered him to stop and surrender, Cambriere-Pabon allegedly hid in a room with his makeshift knife; he also moved the camera to remain out of sight. Deputies eventually breached the room and confronted Cambriere-Pabon with non-lethal weapons, at which point he reportedly dropped the knife and was placed under arrest.
Cambriere-Pabon’s bail in the previous case is $10,000; the additional bail amount for the new charges is unavailable.
