Man Arrested in Aiken for Alleged Kidnapping and Domestic Violence: Police Investigate Serious Charges

AIKEN, S.C. () – Authorities in Aiken responded to a domestic disturbance call on Straight Wellers Road, prompted by concerned neighbors and the victim’s mother.

According to reports, an altercation between De’Andre Sanchez and his girlfriend escalated from a disagreement about their dogs to physical violence. Sanchez is accused of striking the victim in the face and forcibly throwing her onto the bed and floor in their bedroom.

The victim recounted to police that Sanchez pursued her around their apartment while brandishing a knife, preventing her from leaving, and confiscating her car keys.

Upon arrival, officers noted the presence of blood throughout the apartment and observed injuries on the victim’s face, nose, and arms, as detailed in the report.

Sanchez allegedly claimed that the blood was due to the victim having a “sensitive nose.”

Sanchez was arrested and charged with:

  • Kidnapping
  • Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature
  • Possession of a Weapon During a Violence Crime

He remains in the Aiken County Jail.
