TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 22-year-old man has been arrested in a Tampa murder that occurred on Sept. 1, according to police.
Thursday, the Tampa Police Department said Jamarcus Harris was arrested in the murder of a 29-year-old man.
Officers said they responded to a reported shooting just before 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 in the area of Citrus Circle.
There, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. While they tried to give him first aid, the man ended up dying at the scene.

Detectives got tips that Harris was the suspect, having been in an argument with the victim before the shooting.
The department said that after gathering additional evidence that linked Harris to the crime scene, officers took Harris into custody.
“The outstanding efforts of our investigators have ensured this suspect will be held accountable for his choices,” Chief Lee Bercaw said. “There are no disagreements, arguments, or differing opinions that should ever result in the loss of a life, and those who choose to use a gun to resolve a dispute will face justice.”
Harris was charged with murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
