PINEY FLATS, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Piney Flats man faces attempted first-degree murder and other charges after a stabbing on Monday, police report.
According to a news release from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), deputies responded to the 200 block of Piney Flats Road just after 10 p.m. regarding a stabbing.
Deputies then located the suspect, identified as James Dylan Murray. A victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, the SCSO reported.
Murray, 20, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Attempted first-degree murder
- Aggravated assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Criminal attempt
As of Tuesday, no bond has been set for Murray. He’s scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
