Man Dies After Witnesses Say He Was Thrown From Car

Tragedy in West Portsmouth. A man is dead after witnesses say he may have been thrown from a car on Marne Avenue.

A report of a shirtless man staggering down the road came in around 4:42 pm. A few moments later, a caller reported a man lying on the side of the road.

When Porter Township medics arrived, they told the Sheriff’s Office the man was in full code. Additionally, neighbors told officers the man may have been thrown from a moving vehicle. 

Deputies noted the man had trauma to his face and body. Medics transported the man to the hospital while deputies began an investigation. 

Just after 6:30 pm, SOMC declared the patient deceased. Officers attempted to notify the next of kin and continued their investigation.
