TILTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A man from Tilton is under arrest after State Police said they discovered he was disseminating child pornography.
Officials said Ryan Emory, 23, was arrested on Thursday following a three-month investigation. ISP agents received a tip in November indicating Emory was possibly in possession of child sex abuse materials. After an “extensive” investigation, law enforcement executed a search warrant for Emory’s home in Tilton.
Emory was arrested on 11 preliminary counts of dissemination of child pornography, depicting children under the age of 13, and one count of disseminating a moving depiction of child pornography. He was booked into the Vermilion County Public Safety Building pending a detention hearing.
The Illinois State Police was assisted in the investigation by the Danville Police Department, Tilton Police Department, Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
