Man Who Claimed Terrorist Ties Receives Over 5-Year Prison...

SAVANNAH, Ga. — A resident of Hinesville has been handed a 70-month prison sentence for making deadly threats against federal workers.

Previously, it was reported that Alexis Beatles, aged 44, faced charges for threatening federal employees. This conviction has now resulted in a federal prison sentence for two counts of interstate communication involving threats to harm others. Alongside his prison term, Beatles has been ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and will undergo three years of supervised release following his incarceration.

The incident in question dates back to December 18, 2024, when Beatles contacted a Department of Veterans Affairs hotline, threatening to harm federal employees and crash his vehicle into the Savannah VA Clinic. He further menaced authorities by stating he would rig his home with explosives to harm any police officers who attempted to apprehend him and vowed to target the children of any officers involved.

Following these threats, Beatles was apprehended in January 2025 and subsequently faced charges from a federal grand jury. His conviction came in September 2025 after a two-day trial.

According to officials, evidence introduced during the trial showed that Beatles had proclaimed himself as a terrorist online and celebrated other terrorist attacks.
