MARION, Va. (WJHL) — Authorities in Marion detained a man on Tuesday following a reported stabbing incident.
The Town of Marion Police Department issued a statement revealing that officers were dispatched to a local hospital after a man arrived with injuries believed to have been caused by a knife.
The injured individual informed the police that the attack occurred at a residence located in the 300 block of South Park Street. He claimed that Kermit Long Jr. approached him at the residence and allegedly attacked him with a knife.
According to the police, the victim suffered cuts to his hand and arm, which were described as non-life-threatening.
