“My dedication remains steadfast to realizing what we have been divinely inspired to pursue since February 2025,” Lynch stated, emphasizing his goal to restore South Carolina’s U.S. Senate seat to genuine Conservative leadership for the Republican Party. He extended heartfelt gratitude to his supporters for their invaluable contributions, assuring them their sacrifices will always be remembered.
Lynch previously challenged Graham in pursuit of the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat during the 2026 primaries.
Per South Carolina legislation, a seven-day period to file for a special primary election is scheduled to commence on the second Tuesday after the candidate’s demise or by July 21, as reported by AP.
The subsequent special primary election is arranged for the second Tuesday following the conclusion of this filing interval, specifically on August 11. Should there be a requirement for a runoff, it would take place two weeks later on August 25, according to AP reports.
