CSRA – Starting in September 2025, a collaborative narcotics investigation was launched by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along with several agencies, including the United States Drug Enforcement Administration Augusta POD, the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force. This three-month operation focused on dismantling a drug trafficking network involving five individuals.

The investigation targeted Tyrone Tolbert Jr., Reizhjon Coleman, Jhrquer Teagal, Nekiyah Booker, and Derwood Stubbs Jr., who were suspected of distributing significant amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana across the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA).

Throughout the inquiry, authorities secured four search warrants related to narcotics activities.

On November 19th, these warrants led to raids at multiple locations, including 304 Lake Course Drive, 2909 Sydney Street, and 203 Williamsburg Drive Apartment 3205 in Augusta. Additionally, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office executed a related warrant at 1016 Dunbar Court in Graniteville.

As a result of these operations, law enforcement officials made several significant seizures:

  • 8,372.9 grams of methamphetamine
  • 1,233.9 grams of powder fentanyl
  • 4,911.3 grams of marijuana
  • 129 grams of cocaine
  • 1,035 alprazolam pills
  • 64 oxycodone pills
  • 200 fentanyl pills
  • 3 firearms
  • $123,627

Authorities said, the fentanyl seized represents approximately 600,000 potentially lethal doses, enough to kill more than half a million adults.

Arrests and charges:

Tyrone Tolbert Jr.: Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

“These results show what can be accomplished when local, state and federal partners work together with one mission. We are extremely grateful for these partnerships and for the men and women who put in the long hours necessary to protect our community. Together we are working every day to clean up the CSRA of dangerous drugs and the violence that comes with them. “The amount of fentanyl seized in this investigation is enough to kill hundreds of thousands of people. Removing this poison from our streets quite literally saves lives.”
