DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — On Wednesday, firefighters swiftly tackled a fast-spreading blaze in a Douglas County field.

The Camargo Countryside Fire Protection District was alerted to a fire in the vicinity of Murdock at approximately 3:15 p.m. Due to the fire’s extensive scale and rapid spread, they reached out to Newman and Villa Grove for additional support.
