URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Two individuals tragically passed away following medical issues during a marathon event in Indianapolis last weekend. In light of this, the organizers of the Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend are offering advice on how to safely complete the grueling 26.2-mile marathon.

Health experts emphasize the importance of being mindful of heart health, but they also caution that weather conditions can significantly impact safety. High temperatures can lead to overheating, while frigid conditions may result in hypothermia.
