AUGUSTA, Ga. () — The Augusta National Golf Club hosted the National Finals of the Drive, Chip, and Putt competition Sunday, April 6.

This year, 80 participants advanced to the finals. The competition, which started in 2014, is separated into four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old.

Each participant was given three drives, three chips and three putts with the goal of achieving the highest score possible.

There were players from around the country in the event, and several from Georgia and South Carolina.

Hudson Justus, resident of Gainesville, Georgia, came in first place in the 12–13-year-old division.

Justus, who has played in the event before, said it felt great to be back at Agusta.

“I figured out how great it was when I came in 2023,” said Justus. “I told my parents I just wanted to get back to Augusta National.”

The first practice round of The Masters begins Monday, April 7, the first round will start Thursday, and the final round will be on Saturday.
