TAMPA, Fla. (BLOOM) – McDonald’s is turning up the heat in Tampa Bay with the debut of their new McCrispy™ Strips, arriving just in time for summer cravings.

Starting May 5, McDonald’s restaurants across the Tampa Bay area will offer McCrispy Strips, juicy, 100% white meat chicken coated in a golden-brown breading packed with bold black pepper flavor. The strips come in three- or four-piece orders and are perfect for dunking in the brand-new Creamy Chili Dip, a savory, slightly tangy, and sweet sauce with a hint of chili pepper heat.

Fans can order McCrispy Strips on their own or as part of a meal, paired with McDonald’s World Famous Fries and a refreshing lemonade, an ideal combo for cooling off during Florida’s warm months.

“We know Tampa Bay loves its chicken,” McDonald’s said in a release. “McCrispy Strips bring back that tender, juicy experience fans have been craving, with a little extra kick thanks to the new Creamy Chili Dip.”

McDonald’s promises this isn’t just a limited-time offer. McCrispy Strips are a permanent addition to menus at participating locations nationwide, including right here in the Tampa area.

Local franchisees are also sweetening the deal. Starting May 27, app users can snag a free medium order of fries with any purchase of McCrispy Strips or a McCrispy Sandwich through June 15. Plus, Free Fries Friday continues every week through the McDonald’s app with any $1 minimum purchase.

With many Tampa Bay McDonald’s locations locally owned and operated, ordering a basket of McCrispy Strips is a tasty way to support small businesses right in your neighborhood.

For even more deals, exclusive rewards, and mobile ordering, download the McDonald’s app and join MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

Ready to dip? McCrispy Strips and the Creamy Chili Dip are available now at McDonald’s restaurants across St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, and beyond.
