TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Ronnette Hall said that after she stepped forward earlier this week and expressed concerns about a medical transportation company, the president of the company called her to apologize and offer amends.
Hall called Better Call Behnken for help, saying her father’s rides to doctor’s appointments were unreliable, caused him to miss important appointments for cancer treatment and then ended in an elderly stranger delivered to his home by mistake.
Ron Hall, a veteran, must be moved from his bed to a stretcher and then from the stretcher to a van.
After calls from Better Call Behnken, Hall tells me the owner of Miami-based Ride2MD called her to apologize and offered an upgraded level of treatment for future rides.
“That’s a great load of my head, my shoulders,” Hall said. “I’m grateful. My dad is a human. He needs the help. He served his country. He has put in his time at work. He worked for the company for 25 years. He put in his time. He’s deserving of good treatment. It’s only fair.”
Ronnette Hall said she was told her father will now have a transport staff member to stay with her at all times so he won’t have to be removed from his stretcher while he visits his doctor.
