ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is set to experience slightly drier air moving in from the Atlantic, which will help reduce the likelihood of rain on Memorial Day. While there’s still a possibility of an isolated shower or thunderstorm, the chances have decreased to about 30%, lower than the previous day.
Coastal areas may see a few showers in the morning, but the sea breeze will soon shift these chances inland towards I-75 by the afternoon. Expect temperatures to climb into the low 90s, with the heat index making it feel close to 100ºF.
As we approach mid-week, rain chances will rise significantly due to the arrival of tropical moisture from the Caribbean. This moisture will become more pronounced starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend, leading to an increase in storm activity. Despite the showers, high temperatures will linger around 90 degrees until the storms provide some cooling relief.
