TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — When you think of Bucs receiver Mike Evans, it’s easy to see the touchdowns and the highlights, and the jaw-dropping catches on Sundays.

You may also think about the accolades (his 11 straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons, tied with Jerry Rice for most all time in NFL history, the 2 Super Bowl Wins, the six Pro Bowl nods, etc…) or the number 13 jersey he’s worn since he was drafted in 2014.

But to really know Evans, you have to take a trip to his hometown of Galveston, Texas.

Evans’ childhood friends think back to when he was a teenager playing basketball and running track for Ball High School.
