TAMPA, Fla. (BLOOM) — A day of hands-on science just got tastier at Tampa’s Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI). Starting Saturday, Feb. 15, museum visitors can fuel their curiosity with a plate of smoky barbecue, thanks to the arrival of Station House BBQ.
Known for its slow-smoked meats and inventive sides, Station House BBQ will serve guests in two locations—one under the museum’s signature blue dome and another near the entrance. Visitors can expect favorites like pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket baked beans, gouda mac and cheese, and the Late Night Brownie.

For families spending hours exploring exhibits like the new Flight Club Drone Zone or the upcoming Digital Dome Theatre and Planetarium, the addition of high-quality food is a welcome change. MOSI has lacked on-site dining since 2017, aside from a recent partnership with Zydeco Brew Werks that ended in January.
“We’re all about nourishing minds here, and this spectacular barbecue means we’ll also do a great job nourishing people’s bodies,” said MOSI CEO John Graydon Smith. “This addition can only make the experience even better for our guests.”

Station House BBQ, founded by firefighters and family-operated, has grown into one of Tampa Bay’s most in-demand barbecue spots. Co-founder Anthony Fonseca sees the partnership as a natural fit.
“We know the impact MOSI has had on generations of families in our area, and the bright future that’s ahead,” Fonseca said. “We’re very excited about this partnership.”

More than just a meal, the arrival of Station House BBQ means visitors can now extend their time at the museum without having to leave for lunch. It’s a win for parents looking for an easy dining option, a boost for local foodies who appreciate great barbecue, and an overall enhancement to Tampa’s favorite hands-on science museum.
MOSI is located at 4801 E. Fowler Ave., across from the University of South Florida campus. Station House BBQ will be open daily for lunch, with extended hours during special events.
