New Illinois Law Enhances Protections for Missing Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Starting January

ILLINOIS (WCIA) — As the new year approaches, a fresh law is set to enhance protections for individuals with developmental disabilities who go missing in Illinois.

Senate Bill 1548 introduces the Golden Search Awareness Program, a legislative effort spearheaded by State Senator Paul Faraci (D-Champaign). The initiative aims to equip law enforcement, families, and communities with the necessary resources to respond effectively in such critical situations.
