TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A new exhibit opened Friday at the Glazer Children’s Museum that changes your perspective and allows you to see things a little differently. The “Let’s See!” exhibit turns the science of sight into a hands-on adventure with bursts of color, light, and optical illusions, while also emphasizing the importance of vision care.

The exhibit, presented by the Glazer Vision Foundation, guides kids as they discover how their eyes work and why healthy vision is optimal for learning and thriving.

The interactive experiences the exhibit has to offer include:

  • A giant kaleidoscope that gives you the chance to play with color, light, and reflection
  • Spinning color wheels that allow you to explore how light, color, and movement interact
  • Color vision tests and number-spotting challenges
  • Different glasses to try on so you can see the world through a new lens
  • A water sphere that exemplifies how our eyes and brain work together
  • A mystery box that you can reach into so you can guess objects by touch

“Play is how children make sense of the world, and ‘Let’s See!’ turns learning about vision into a fun, hands-on adventure,” said Sarah Cole, president and CEO of the Glazer Children’s Museum. “Through playful exploration, kids discover how their eyes work and why seeing clearly matters. As someone who wears glasses, I know how life-changing good vision can be—but it all starts with play.”

The Glazer Vision Foundation has provided free eye screenings and prescription glasses to more than 20,000 children in the Tampa Bay area.

“Let’s See!” is not only an exhibit but a chance to change the way children see the world.
