(The Hill) — Ford Motor Company is recalling over 355,000 trucks due to an error with the instrument panel display, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The recall encompasses 2025 and 2026 models, including F-550 SD, F-450 SD, F-350 SD, F-250 SD and 2025 F-150 vehicles.

“An instrument panel display that does not show critical information, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, increases the risk of crash,” NHTSA said in the notice.

The recall covers 355,656 vehicles

“A blank IPC screen upon startup may render safety-related telltales and gauges unreadable in certain conditions,” the safety agency said. “An IPC that does not clearly display critical safety information can increase the risk of a crash.”

NHTSA noted that Ford was aware of 95 warranty claims potentially related to the issue as of June 26. The agency added that the first warranty claim was received on Jan. 30.

The Michigan-based automaker said it is not aware of any reports of injury or accidents related to the issue.

Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicles to a local Ford dealer to have the IPC software updated. Customers will not be charged for the service.

“The remedy software will have the memory protection feature disabled,” NHTSA said in the notice.
