TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Norwegian Cruise Line announced Tuesday that it is opening a new water park on its private island in the Caribbean next year.
The six-acre water park will feature 19 waterslides, a nearly 800-foot dynamic river, a mini aquatic racecourse with jet karts, cliffside jump spots and more.
Tidal Tower will be home to eight thrilling waterslides. Two of the tallest slides will allow guests to ride an inner tube to experience “splashing drops and thrilling climbs,” the cruise line said.
There will be racing slides where guests can race to the finish on a mat, more tube slides that spin guests as they shoot down, as well as body slides.
The Cliffside Cove area of the park will have racer slides, two cliff jump areas and a family slide.
The water park will also feature a dynamic river, which has an accelerated current that’s “faster and more exciting than a typical lazy river,” Norwegian said.
The cruise line said the Horizon Park section will have lawn-style games, pickleball courts, a nine-hole mini golf course, half a sports court and more.
An adults-only area, called Vibe Shore Club, will have a private bar, hanging day beds and premium lounge seating.
Norwegian said its Miami and Orlando-based cruise ship will sail to the private island starting next year.
