In a significant boost for emergency response capabilities, several regional rescue squads in Tennessee have been awarded funding from the state’s Rescue Squad Grant Program. This announcement, made public on Thursday, highlights the state’s commitment to strengthening its emergency services infrastructure.
According to a release from the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (TDCI) along with the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO), a total of $5 million will be divided among 115 rescue squads statewide this year. The funding will be distributed over two grant cycles, underscoring the state’s ongoing investment in public safety.
