OCALA, Fla. – In the early hours of Friday, a 34-year-old man was apprehended following a shooting incident outside an Ocala bar that left one person injured, according to reports from the Ocala Police Department.
Authorities were called to the 100 Proof Saloon at 735 N. Pine Ave. around 1:15 a.m., where they discovered a man with gunshot wounds to his wrist and thigh. These injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and the victim was subsequently transported to HCA Ocala for medical care.
Officers identified Curtis Oneal Goodman Jr. as the suspect at the scene. Through collected evidence and witness testimonies, investigators were able to connect him to the shooting.
Following his arrest, Goodman Jr. was taken to the Marion County jail. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
