ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County man reached out to News 6 after he says his car was hit by a bullet while driving home.
“I’m not trying to deal with the situation. I work all the time. I don’t have time for stuff like this,” said Feroz Khan.
He told News 6 he had just bought the truck from his uncle—now it’s damaged.
“I’m from Brooklyn, so we grew up on it, but to come to Florida and see this thing happening still today—it’s not nice,” he said.
Khan said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday after his 7-year-old daughter was picked up from his home.
He went out to get food near Kirkman Road and West Colonial Drive and cut through a liquor store parking lot. That’s when he says he stopped to greet a group of people.
“I stopped and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s up,’ and then, you know, two seconds after—boom,” he recalled.

The bullet landed dangerously close to his gas tank. Khan says he rushed back home and called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
“I don’t know who shot the car. You gotta please—still do the investigation—and I’m waiting on them. But I know Pine Hills. A lot of people got guns… just put it away,” he said.
This shooting comes just a month after a 19-year-old woman was shot while riding along Clarcona-Ocoee Road in Pine Hills by an unknown shooter.
Khan says deputies and detectives searched his truck and told him they plan to follow up with him Monday.
“This is really attempted murder. They shot at me—they shot at me,” he said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, though they haven’t released any details yet.
